Why Therapy
All of us will encounter challenges in our lives in some form. There may be grief, uncertainty, and pain. There will also be joy and laughter and freedom. Therapy offers a space in which you can deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships with others. Often the better we know ourselves and our patterning from our past, the more freedom we can find in navigating our present.

Sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings can feel intensely vulnerable, but therapy is a non-judgemental space, in which compassion and curiosity are at the very heart of the relationship. Many people have areas of themselves and their lives that they feel some shame about, and these can be particularly difficult parts to share with another. Yet it is also in sharing these parts in a safe, confidential space, that we are better able to accept ourselves.
How I work
Its important that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable and safe with, and you may have questions or worries about the therapeutic process that need answering before you are ready to begin.
I offer a free confidential 15 minutes telephone conversation so that you can talk through any queries or concerns, and share a little more about yourself. We will then schedule an initial in person or online session that lasts 50 minutes, where we can go into more depth and explore what working together might look like.

I offer both short term and long term therapy. For short term work I find a minimum of a six session commitment is needed to establish trust and explore top level themes. We will meet at the same time and day each week, and will regularly check in on how you are finding the therapeutic process.
